The delegation headed by Dr. Harib Saeed Al Amimi, the President of the State Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Chairman of the Conference of the States Parties (CoSP) to UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), is in Yerevan on official visit from 10th October 2021 to 15th October  2021.

Within the framework of the visit, the meeting between Levon Yolyan, the Chairman of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Armenia, and the delegation headed by Dr. Harib Al Amimi, the President of the State Audit Institution of the UAE, took place on 12th October 2021.

During the meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction with the high level of bilateral cooperation established under the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 8 May 2013.

In his speech, L. Yolyan mentioned that there are wide opportunities to enhance the scope of the bilateral collaboration and to find new directions of joint projects thus developing the potential and the spirit of the Memorandum.

In his turn, Dr. Harib Al Amimi confirmed the proposal of enhancing the collaboration and noted that the SAI of the UAE is eager to cooperate with the Audit Chamber within a comprehensive agenda.

The President of the SAI of the UAE invited Mr. Yolyan to take part in the events of Dubai Expo 2020, as well as to learn the latest achievements of the SAI of the UAE.

The parties also discussed the new challenges facing the SAIs, shared thoughts about the audits during COVID-19 pandemic and the audits on the funds allocated to resist the pandemic.
